Have you been to a Secret Garden wedding? They’re cool, right? Charli & Tom’s wedding back in August was my first trip to the Secret Garden and now I’m itching to go back. What a place! And I’ve got to say right off the bat, the staff are awesome. I know that might be a weird thing to open up with, but they were just awesome. Nothing was too much trouble and the day ran like clockwork. Nice and easy all day, that’s what we like!
So, let me tell you about Charli & Tom. Charli used to work with a friend of mine, who actually recommended me to Charli last year (thanks again Ell). When they got in touch, they were looking for someone to spend the day having just as much fun as them and to take the stress out of having their photo taken. My favourite! The fact that The Secret Garden would play host to this fun-fest of a day had me buzzing.
Secret Garden Wedding
On the day, Charli looked a million dollars in her Maggie Sottero dress thanks to the work of Holly Hanrahan. I’m not actually sure I’ve seen a bride smile as much as she did all day. Actually, her only competition for ‘biggest smile of the day’ was Tom. They were just a dream from start to finish. There were so many laughs, a few tears (of joy, of course!) and a whole lot of fun all day long, but there was one theme that ran through it all…family.
Noah & Oliver, Charli & Tom’s boys, really turned the cuteness dial up to 11 and didn’t stop all day. We were able to grab 10 minutes before dinner to go and shoot the first round of portraits with the boys around the grounds of the Secret Garden, and the moment they picked up their Mum’s dress to carry it down the path almost cracked me! Have a little scroll down in a minute, you can’t miss it.

Okay, I’ve gone on for way too long already and, quite honestly, nothing is going to tell this story better than the photos. To Charli & Tom, huge thanks to you both for being the most amazing couple from start to finish. It was a huge privilege to be a part of your beautiful wedding and I’m so glad you love your photos as much as I loved making them.
If you’re reading this and planning your Secret Garden wedding, get in touch and let’s chat. Seriously, I can’t wait to go back! But hey, if you’re planning a wedding somewhere else entirely but you like the photos, that’s okay to 🙂 I’d love to be a part of your day.
