"They're amazing! They really tell a story. And I think also show your signature style. I remember when I was looking through your portfolio that even though we didn’t know any of these people you get a real sense of them and their day, it was really nice. We wanted an awesome story through photos of the weekend, we got that plus some. We met as a random people but for me I left with two lifetime friends. Love you guys! x"

I know what you’re thinking; can you even have a relaxed Indian wedding?! Well the short answer is yes, you can! I admit, they’re not usually how Indian weddings play out, but Prina & Chris were very clear from the start, theirs was going to be chilled. I’ve been itching to share this one ever since I delivered the full set to Prina & Chris, so I’m stoked it’s finally on the blog and you’re here reading it.

Prina & Chris wanted to experience all the energy and colour that comes with an Indian wedding ceremony, but the giant wedding wasn’t for them. Spreading the festivities out over a whole weekend definitely made their lives easier, and Bore Place was the perfect venue. The Vidhi and the Indian ceremony took place on the Saturday, and the ‘legal bit’ on the Sunday. Two parties, two full days of joy and happiness, and LOADS of colour to make cool photos with!

Indian Wedding at Bore Place

Despite the desire for a relaxed weekend, tradition was important to Prina & Chris. However, one tradition Prina was keen to do differently was their Vidhi & Indian wedding ceremony, which was officiated by Chandra Vyas, the UK’s first female Hindu priest! Chandra brought the best energy and presence to the ceremonies on the Saturday and was super easy to work with. She certainly helped make this the relaxed Indian wedding Prina & Chris were hoping for.

Someone else who was massive in making this the chilled and uber-fun wedding weekend it was, was my beautiful Wife Jess. If you’re new here, Jess is a killer Hair & Makeup Artist and we got to spend this weekend together as Ceremony. So if you’re planning your own relaxed Indian wedding and you want something a bit different, give us a shout. We had the best time with Prina & Chris and we’d love to hear more about your plans.

Right then, I think that’s more than enough rambling from me. I’ve always said the photos should speak for themselves, so let’s let them do just that. This was a very full weekend, so brace yourself for a lot of scrolling. But trust me, it’s worth it!

If you’re keen to chat to me about being a part of your relaxed Indian wedding, get in touch and let’s get the ball rolling. If you can connect with my work and want to see more, check out my portfolio and some more awesome weddings.

In all their glory, Prina & Chris…
