Does anything beat an intimate London wedding? Especially one at the gorgeous Wandsworth Town Hall? I’m not sure it does. And then if you factor in a post-ceremony celebration at a place like Henny’s in Balham, complete with signature cocktails and regular pizza deliveries, then you’ve hit the golden buzzer! That’s the perfect intimate wedding setup! And that is exactly what Charlotte & Tom did back in September. They gathered their closest friends and family, enjoyed a lovely mid-afternoon ceremony at Wandsworth Town Hall, then bussed everyone across London to their favourite local wine bar for an evening of fun.

I had a pretty nostalgic start to the day, as the last time I was in Wandsworth was with Sara & Jono way back in 2018! I walked past the building that used to be L’Affaire (their reception venue), that isn’t there anymore and remembered just how much fun I had with them, and how lucky I am to still be doing this! Let me tell you, being a London wedding photographer just keeps getting better!

This was also my first time to Henny’s wine bar in Balham, and I really hope it’s not the last! What a beautiful and intimate setting for a wedding reception. Charlotte & Tom knew they didn’t want something big for their day, they wanted to keep things small and spend their time doing the things they enjoy doing, with their nearest and dearest. If you’re not sure, that’s exactly what a wedding day should be about.
