I was going to kick this off by telling you that I love a good Ferry House Inn wedding. But this wasn’t one. This was a bloody amazing Ferry House Inn wedding! Let’s just agree something now shall we? No matter what I tell you about this day, no matter how many superlatives I throw at you, nothing will come close to describing how awesome this day was! But I shall try nonetheless.
I’ve said before that there are a number of things that contribute to a banging wedding day. Awesome couple, who just trust you totally to get the job done. Chilled out vibes. Great guests. Brilliant venue. Beautiful food. Amazing light. The list goes on. This one had the lot. The Ferry House Inn played host to one of my favourite weddings of the year, and Laura & James were the stars.
Ferry House Inn Wedding
Laura & James got in touch last year and as soon as they started telling me about their day, I knew this would be a cracker. I’d only shot at the Ferry House Inn once before, almost a year ago to the day, but I’d been itching to go back ever since. And what a day it was!
Laura looked head-to-toe amazing thanks to her super-stylish Halfpenny dress, amazing Charlotte Mills shoes and beautiful Idyllic Days flower crown. I mean, she looked cool, right? You can judge for yourself below, but trust me, she did! She was brilliantly looked after on the day by her Bridesmaids Rachel and Lorna, her friend Michelle who made it through an emotional reading and a speech, and her Mum Maureen, who didn’t stop laughing all day. Apart from when she cried. Happy tears of course!
James didn’t let the boys down with his tailored Hugo Boss suit and Sons of London shoes, looking effortlessly cool all day long, despite some questionable dance moves (sorry James!) 😉 The Ferry House Inn did a great job of looking after everyone and filling them with some gorgeous food. The venue looked a million dollars and a huge shout-out must go to the brilliant work of Hedges & Flowers, Amanda Jane Flowers & Liberty Florals, all co-ordinated by the guys at Idyllic Days.

Alright, that’s enough from me. Time to see just how fun this day was. Massive thanks to Laura & James for being just the coolest, most brilliant couple from start to finish. I said it on the day and I’ll say it again; you guys were a dream. I had so much fun telling your story and I’m so glad you love your photos as much as I loved making them.
If you’re planning a Ferry House Inn wedding and you’re keen to chat to me about coming along for the ride, get in touch and let’s get the ball rolling. I’d love to be a part of your day.
I told you it’d be laden with superlatives didn’t I! The awesome, beautiful and amazing Mr & Mrs Hillman everyone…
