I can’t tell you how much I LOVE an elegant at-home marquee wedding! It might be because Jess and I had one, I don’t know. But I have to say, Cait & Dave raised the bar way high. WAY high! I don’t think I stopped smiling all day long. That was largely down to Cait & Dave just being absolute rock stars, but also because I got to spend the day with some other awesome folks.
I have to give a massive shout-out to the brilliant James Smith, who makes some of the best wedding films I’ve ever seen. But more than that, he’s a bloody legend of a bloke and amazing to shoot with. So if you’re after a videographer, get him booked pronto!
Elegant at-home marquee wedding
I first met Cait at Emeline & Tom’s London wedding back at the end of 2019, where she was acting wedding coordinator. So, when she got in touch to talk about her wedding to Dave, I knew two things. It was going to be brilliantly planned, and it was going to be a whole heap of fun! And I wasn’t wrong!
So, after popping in to see Dave and the lads at The Marquis in Alkham, I headed over to Cait’s parents house in the Canterbury countryside to kick off the day. Jess was in full flow making everyone look amazing (as she always does) and the vibe was super-chilled and happy. I can tell you, the vibe didn’t change all day. I told you, as elegant at-home marquee weddings go, this one is going in the hall of fame! Great people, killer suppliers, a brilliant party. What’s not to love?
Documentary wedding photography
Cait & Dave – massive, huge, giant love to you both for having me and letting me be a part of this amazing day. I had the best time with you all and I’m so glad you love your photos.
If you’re reading this and are keen to have me along to shoot your wedding (it’s okay, it doesn’t have to be an elegant at-home marquee wedding) then get in touch and let’s chat. I’d love to hear more about your plans. I shoot a limited number of wedding per year, so let’s get the ball rolling shall we?
Right, enough from me, it’s photo time. Enjoy!
