HEY

We’re Jess and Matt. We’re a husband and wife duo and founders of Ceremony: a unique wedding experience combining personal documentary photography and luxury hair and makeup, for modern couples who want a day that looks good and feels good too.

Ceremony is the culmination of our love for not only what we do, but who we do it with. Finding suppliers who can do the job is one thing; finding suppliers who will work their backsides off to ensure your day is the best it can possibly be is another. At Ceremony, we offer the latter: a perfect marriage (pun intended) of artistry and authenticity, resulting in a seamless, luxurious experience that’s devoid of any stress and full of all the love.

Though Ceremony as a concept has been going for a good few years now, we’ve only just come upon the perfect name for it, thanks to the help of Jess' little sister Aimée, who also came up with the best summary ever...

“Here was a couple, (now married), who had met at a wedding, whilst both working said wedding, who then went into business together to create a personal experience for other couples looking to get married. It has been a unison of creative ideas, collaboration of skill sets and a partnership of two people on many levels. Perhaps it was a bit on the nose, perhaps it was just the one word that succinctly summarized the core principles of the business."

• INITIAL CONSULTATIONS

as many chats as needed for you to feel happy and confident that we are the right people for you – whether it’s on Zoom, Facetime, or a coffee date in person.

• BRIDE(S) HAIR + MAKEUP TRIAL

This is usually held at Jess’ relaxing garden studio here in Whitstable, or if you’re not based in the UK we can carry out a trial at the wedding location in the days leading up to your wedding.

• WEDDING DAY HAIR + MAKEUP

Let's start the day right – Jess will be a warm and welcoming presence on the morning of, there to get you ready for the big moment

• PHOTOGRAPHY COVERAGE

Up to 12 Hours with Matt. Our award-winning documentary photography style captures moments as they happen, both big and small. Your day is about much more than just exchanging rings and cutting your cake, so we make sure we're right in the mix to capture it all.

• ADDITIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY COVERAGE ONCE HAIR & MAKEUP IS COMPLETE

Once Jess is done making you look and feel amazing, she puts down most of her makeup kit and picks up a camera to shoot the rest of the day with Matt. But don’t worry...

• UNLIMITED HAIR & MAKEUP TOUCH-UPS THROUGHOUT THE DAY

The kit’s not gone for good! These touch ups are designed to be quick, so
Jess won’t be pulling you away from your day. It’s normally a quick touch of
lippy and a re-powder before the all-important portraits and post speeches – either way, I’ve always got my little ‘go bag’ to keep you looking fresh and
flawless.

• EVENING TOUCH-UP OR HAIR & MAKEUP CHANGE

Want a stunning new hair & makeup look to take you into the evening celebrations? Or maybe you just want a touch-up to your existing look? From brushed out waves to glam ponytails, we can make a quick change that will have you ready to party the night away.

A sneak peek of the photos within 72 hours of your wedding

So, what's next?

You’ll be pleased to know the booking process is nice and simple. All we require is a completed booking form and a £1500 deposit and we’re all yours. But, before we get anywhere near that, let’s have a chat and talk about your day, and you can fire your questions at us. We’d love to hear more about your plans for your day. Let us know when is good for you and we’ll get a video chat in the diary.

We do book a limited number of weddings per year so we can give our all to each one. We travel all over the UK and Europe and peak dates get booked out pretty quickly, so if you’re keen, let’s get the ball rolling.
