Okay, let’s talk about Michelle & Christian’s London wedding at Burgh House. I’m saying let’s talk about it, but honestly I’m still a bit lost for words! These guys were an absolute dream from start to finish. There is one word that stands out in my mind when I think about my day at Burgh House with Michelle & Christian; trust. Right from our first chat on Zoom, they had total trust in me to get the job done and deliver a set of photos that truly reflected how awesome their day was always going to be. And it was one of the most amazing weddings I’ve ever been to!

This was my first time shooting a London wedding at Burgh House, so I was already pretty excited. Michelle is Canadian, and her Aunt and Bridesmaids had all flown in from Canada to come and celebrate with Michelle and Christian. Right from the get-go when I arrived at Michelle & Christian’s house to shoot Michelle’s prep, the champagne was flowing and the laughs were non-stop. Like I said, I knew this was going to be an amazing one, but these guys just blew me away.

Burgh House

A quick word for Burgh House. What a place! Such a gorgeous spot in Hampstead, with brilliant staff and a really relaxed, fun vibe about it. If you’re reading this and thinking about getting married at Burgh House, stop thinking and start booking. It won’t let you down.

Right, back to Michelle & Christian. With Michelle being Canadian, there were a couple of nods to the North American culture around weddings, the main one being a ‘first look’ between Michelle & Christian. But, in typical Michelle style, she didn’t want to do this the ‘usual’ way. So, she and her Bridesmaids all turned up at the pub Christian, his groomsmen and the guests were drinking at before the ceremony, to surprise him! What a brilliant way to kick off their celebration. After the ceremony, everyone had ample time to relax in the grounds and in the gorgeous gallery that’s attached to the venue, before boarding an old route master bus to the Bull & Gate for their meal and party. The pace didn’t slow down all day and we partied hard together right into the night.
