BEST WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY OF 2021

Stepping back into the light

It’s difficult to know how to summarise my best wedding photography of 2021 collection. For me, 2021 was a year unlike any other. I can’t remember any other time in my life where I’ve experienced so much joy, excitement, nervousness and fear so close together. After the year we all had in 2020, the excitement and sheer joy of being back doing what I love, around groups of people showering each other with love and hugs after a year apart, was amazing. The nerves about being around big groups of people were there for most of the year, which felt really weird. I LOVE being around big groups of people having a brilliant time. And the fear of catching covid and having to miss weddings was very, very real. Last year was the busiest year I’ve had in my career. If I’d have caught it last summer, the number of weddings I’d have missed would have been a big number!

I talk about emotion all the time. It’s what I use to make the photos I love most. As a documentary wedding photographer, it’s your most valuable currency. But last year I really feel like I fully rode the emotional rollercoaster with every one of my couples. There were moments during the year where I was fully welling up behind my camera, because I was just so damn happy and grateful to be there. Like when Sam sang to Leanne during their ceremony (supported by a flashmob of his guests). When I stood on top of the Yorkshire Moors with Liv & Bill, in total silence, watching the sunset and shooting some portraits of them. When Chloé & Reza messaged me after their wedding to tell me that I’d made their day. The list is honestly endless, but every single wedding gave me so much joy. I’m so grateful to every one of my couples for having me.

Documentary Wedding Photographer

So, here it is. My best wedding photography of 2021 as a documentary wedding photographer. Some of the most amazing moments I got to share with some truly beautiful people. To all my couples from last year, thank you so much for having me. I had such a brilliant time with you all and I’m so grateful to have shared in these moments with you.

2022 has already set the bar crazy high thanks to Sam & Josh, whose wedding you will be able to check out very soon. Go give me a follow on instagram if you want to keep up with the latest coming’s and going’s at Ebbage HQ. Jess and I have some mega-exciting stuff coming in the next few weeks and months and I can’t wait to share it all with you.

If you’re keen to have me along to shoot your wedding, get in touch and let’s get the ball rolling. I’d love to come and spend the day with you.

Here’s to one hell of a year to come! Cheers folks…
