It’s time to get all reflective and take a look back at my favourite 100 photos from an amazing 2024 wedding season. I’m going to be totally honest with you now. Doing a ‘best of’ blog post is always a bit of a love/hate thing for me. I love being able to take a good look back at every wedding I’ve been a part of in the year and pull out some favourite moments and memories from each one. But the idea of condensing around 17,000 photos into a top 100 is pretty daunting! Also, narrowing it down to a top 100 means plenty of amazing memories get left on the cutting room floor, and that always feels pretty hard to take. Putting together a solid body of work needs a bit of a critical eye and needs the emotion to be removed, so you can see the photo for what it is. I’ve had to do this a few times for awards submissions, but I always find it tough to remove the emotion and choose critically.

Choosing something from every wedding is an important element for me, for a few reasons. Every wedding means something to me, and I’m super-lucky that I get to work with ‘my people’ every time I fire up the cameras, so there’s always an emotional connection for me. It also shows consistency, which is really important to me as well. I want everyone to know that, no matter the venue, weather, time of day or time of year, they’re getting my absolute best, and I’m able to produce high quality work no matter the conditions. I think the importance of this can often be overlooked, and seeing it really helps build that bond of trust between me and my couples. Also, I really am so grateful to have been there with them, so I want them to know that they still really mean something to me. Yes, I am fully aware of how wanky that sounds, but it’s true!

So anyway, enough of my wanky ramblings. To every one of my couples from 2024, your families, guests and other suppliers, I had a blast working with you! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for having me and letting me share your wedding day with you. It’s something I’ll never take for granted. At the time of writing this, 2025 has already kicked off for me and the bar is already higher than Snoop, so I’m buzzing to get back into it this year and make some magic!
